Terms of Use
Last updated October 11, 2026
By using Yellowball, you agree to these Terms.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use Yellowball. If you’re a minor, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You can listen to public podcasts without an account. Hosting a podcast requires one. Accounts must be created by people or businesses, rather than automated signups.
Keep your login details secure. You’re responsible for activity through your account.
Your content
Your podcast belongs to you. You must own the content you upload or have permission to use it.
Uploading content gives us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, distribute, and display it as needed to provide Yellowball. This doesn’t transfer ownership to us.
We don’t actively review or monitor uploaded content. The person uploading it is responsible for it.
You can remove your content at any time. It’s deleted from the live service immediately, but backup copies can take up to 30 days to expire. We can’t recover content after you delete it.
Using Yellowball
Use Yellowball lawfully. You may not:
- Upload illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, or use the service to harm minors.
- Infringe someone else’s copyright, invade their privacy, or publish threatening, abusive, defamatory, or deliberately false content.
- Commit fraud, use stolen payment details, or impersonate someone to deceive others.
- Send spam or unauthorized advertising, distribute malware, or run phishing schemes.
- Bypass access restrictions, collect private data without permission, or redistribute content without the rights to do so.
- Gain unauthorized access to our systems or disrupt the service.
Normal podcast listening, feed subscriptions, podcast apps, and directory indexing are allowed.
Accounts used for prohibited activities may be suspended or terminated. We may also limit a free account’s resource usage if it disrupts the service for other users.
Hosting for clients
You can use Yellowball to host podcasts for clients. Reselling Yellowball accounts or access to the service requires our permission.
Inactive accounts
We may suspend or delete free accounts after 12 consecutive months of inactivity.
Expired trial accounts and their content may be deleted after six consecutive months of inactivity. Logging in counts as activity.
An account with an active paid subscription isn’t subject to inactivity deletion. Once that subscription ends, the rules for its unpaid account type apply again.
If circumstances prevent you from logging in for an extended period, contact support about keeping your account.
Payments and plan changes
Card subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel before your next billing date to stop renewal.
Monero payments cover the period you purchase and don’t renew automatically.
For regular paid plans, card upgrades take effect immediately, with a prorated adjustment. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Changes to or from the Archive plan take effect immediately.
Changing a Monero plan adjusts the remaining paid time based on the new plan’s price.
If payment isn’t received, your account may be downgraded, suspended, or terminated. Unpaid accounts are subject to the inactivity rules above.
Refunds and payment disputes
We don’t normally offer refunds for card payments. We may make exceptions at our discretion. If we issue a refund, it goes back to the original payment method in the original currency.
Monero payments are non-refundable.
This policy doesn’t affect any refund rights you have under applicable law.
If a payment is disputed or reversed, we may suspend the account while the dispute is resolved. We don’t charge you the payment processor’s dispute fees.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information Yellowball keeps, how it’s used, and when it’s deleted.
Service availability and responsibility
Yellowball is provided “as is” and “as available.” We can’t guarantee uninterrupted access or the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of content uploaded by users.
To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and aren’t responsible for losses arising from using, or being unable to use, Yellowball.
You agree to cover losses and reasonable legal costs incurred by us, our affiliates, and people working for us from third-party claims arising from your use of Yellowball, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer or excludes responsibility that the law doesn’t allow us to exclude.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
Other terms
Not enforcing a rule on one occasion doesn’t mean we’ve given up the right to enforce it later.
We may transfer this agreement and use contractors to help provide the service.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the agreement for your use of Yellowball and replace earlier agreements about that use.
