Yellowball Alternatives

Yellowball’s my take on podcast hosting, but it’s not for everyone.

Yellowball’s a focused, opinionated tool — and that means it’s not for everyone. This page highlights a few things I intentionally don’t offer, along with some other platforms that might be a better fit if you're looking for those features.

What I do

I built Yellowball to focus on doing a few things really well, instead of trying to cover every use case. When a platform tries to be everything for everyone, it usually ends up being bloated and hard to use.

If you're curious what Yellowball does offer, check out the features page .

What I try not to do

Dynamic Ad Insertion

Sure, dynamic ad insertion sounds like easy money. But most podcasters don’t earn much from them, and you have no control over what plays in your episodes. You built your audience — you should choose what goes in your show.

If you’re looking for dynamic ad support, try Spotify for Creators or Magaphone

AI Co-Hosts

The “dead internet” theory — where bots flood the web with low-effort content — feels more real every day. AI co-hosts just add to the noise. Podcasting should be human. Thoughtful. Weird. You.

If you're into AI voice generation or auto-created episodes, check out Descript or Jellypod.

Other options

Anything I missed?

Not sure if Yellowball’s the right fit? Just reach out . I’ll be honest about whether it suits your needs—no hard sell, no pressure. I care more about you finding the right home for your podcast than trying to make a sale.
