I started this service for a few reasons, but one of the biggest was accessibility. I found a lot of the other podcast hosting services out there overly complicated, so when building Yellowball , I focused on making it as simple, useful, and straightforward as possible—while also making it fun to use.

But part of accessibility is also about cost, and I don't want that to stop anyone from using it. For some, the price is a great deal, but for others, it might be too expensive. That's why I've added an option for student discounts and Open Source Software project discounts . While I am running a business, I'm also human, and I don't want to stop you from creating.
