no BS? What does that even mean

At Yellowball, no BS starts with privacy. Too many platforms demand personal data they don't need. With me, all you need to sign up is a username and password—no email required. Want to host an anonymous podcast? You can do that here. I support crypto payments, so you can pay with Monero or Bitcoin—no credit card needed.

No badges, no awards

Some hosting platforms offer badges and awards when you hit certain milestones—that’s not my style. As someone who’s created content on YouTube for years, I’ve seen how those awards can create unnecessary pressure. Sure, it feels great when you make a banger, but what about when your latest content doesn’t measure up? It can leave you second-guessing your work. When you create, you should create freely. At Yellowball, there are no badges to earn—you’re only accountable to yourself.

Tracking no included

These days, most websites are packed with trackers like Google Analytics, monitoring your every move—it’s all BS. I don’t do that at Yellowball. No tracking scripts, no hidden analytics tools. You’ll still get the data you need for your show, like download numbers and listener locations, but it’s all collected through straightforward web server logs—not invasive code.

No mandatory branding

Just like I avoid labels on my clothes, I’m not putting them on your embedded player or hosted podcast site. Sure, companies want their name out there, and having their logo on your content helps spread the word. But if you're paying for something, it shouldn’t come with strings attached. With Yellowball, branding is optional and can be easily disabled—no extra charge, it’s always included.

KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid

I built Yellowball because I couldn’t find a simple, private hosting solution when I started my podcast. I wanted something reliable with minimal features—not a fancy dashboard that wastes time. My goal was to focus on creating, not navigating through unnecessary complexity.

Nothing “Unlimited”

Some podcast hosting providers promise unlimited shows, downloads, or episodes. I don’t. Why? Because “unlimited” is just a marketing gimmick—there’s always a limit. Instead of pretending, I commit to tangible numbers. For example, you get up to 2,000,000 monthly downloads per show—plenty for almost every podcaster. And if you need more, just reach out. No BS, just clarity.
